A law firm WordPress theme with its recent cases in place
Canvas ships one demo built for a firm, and it is a whole site: a home page, Who We Are, Our Lawyers, Recent Cases, News and Contact. Each case is a record with its outcome attached, so the page a firm is proudest of is the one that keeps itself current.
One firm website, ready to import
Law Agency is a working site: the pages, the menu, the consultation form and the case records behind them. Preview it live, then import it and put your own names in.

Business & Corporate ยท 6 pagesA case is a record, and the outcome travels with it
The demo registers its cases as records of their own. Each one carries the practice area, a one-line outcome, the year and the type of client, and each gets a page with the rest of that practice area listed underneath.
- 6 case records in the demo, each with a photo, an outcome line and its own page
- Practice areas are categories: business, criminal, education, employment, family, immigration, insurance
- Filing a case under a practice area puts it in that area's listing and in the related cases at the foot of its neighbours
- Adding a case takes one new record and no layout work
The pages a client checks before calling
The rest of the site is the part that earns the call: who the firm is, who will take the matter, and what the firm has been saying.
Our Lawyers
A designed profile section for each attorney with a photo, a role and a short introduction, and a figures strip for the firm underneath. The profiles are blocks on the page, so adding a partner is an editor job.
News and commentary
News & Blogs lists the firm's posts with the demo's own posts block. The demo ships 4 articles to show the pattern, and the home page carries a three-post news strip of its own.
Who We Are and Contact
A mission and values page with the same figures strip, and a contact page with the address and the enquiry form. The consultation form sits at the foot of every page, so an enquiry is never more than a scroll away.
Where the software stops
A firm buying a website wants to know exactly where the software stops, so here it is. Canvas ships the enquiry form and the records behind the site. It is not practice management software.
The consultation form
It reads as a sentence: the practice area the visitor needs, the kind of expertise, their city and their email. Every submission is stored as an entry in WordPress and a honeypot screens bots.
Switches, not plugins
Notification email, a confirmation to the enquirer, a webhook into your own system, Mailchimp, reCAPTCHA v3 and Cloudflare Turnstile are settings on the same form.
Not included
No matter management, no client portal, no conflict checks, no document storage, no time recording and no card payments. Those are plugin or software territory, and this page will not pretend otherwise.
Most first enquiries start on a phone
Somebody reads three firms' websites in a car park and calls one of them. The case listings, the profiles and the enquiry form come off the same responsive blocks, so there is no separate mobile layout to maintain. The screenshot is the demo as shipped, 390 pixels wide.
- Theme Options keeps phone rules for the header, the footer and the page title bar
- Images get width, height, lazy loading and responsive sizes from WordPress
- Canvas loads only the CSS and JavaScript a page actually renders
- Built-in SEO writes the title, the description and the structured data from the content itself
What a firm's website has to do
Recent Cases works on day one
An import brings the six pages, the menu, the form and the case records, so no part of the site is a placeholder waiting on you.
Edited in WordPress itself
An outcome line, a biography, a practice area: each one is a field in the editor WordPress ships. No page builder to learn, and none to renew.
Reversible
Canvas logs everything an import writes. Delete Demo Data clears it again, so looking at a second demo alongside it costs you nothing.
Copy help included
Attorney biographies are the slowest page in any firm to fill. Canvas AI drafts and rewrites text in any block field, with monthly credits on every plan.
Firm websites, asked plainly
Answers that hold for the Law Agency demo as shipped.
What is in the law firm demo?
The Canvas Law Agency demo has 6 pages: a home page, Who We Are, Our Lawyers, Recent Cases, News & Blogs and Contact Us, with a header, a footer, a menu and a consultation form. Behind them sit 6 case records filed by practice area and 4 blog posts. Importing it gives you the whole site, inner pages and all.
How are recent cases managed?
Each case is a record in the Canvas Portfolio content type, not a paragraph. It carries its practice area, a one-line outcome, the year, the type of client and a photo, and it gets its own page with the rest of the same practice area listed underneath. Adding a case is a new record; retiring one is a click, and every page that lists cases follows.
Is case management, a client portal or intake software included?
No: Canvas is a theme, and it ships the pages, the case records and the enquiry form. Matter management, a client portal, conflict checks, document storage, time recording and card payments are plugin or software territory, and nothing on this site implies otherwise.
What does the consultation form do?
The demo's Canvas Form reads as a sentence: the visitor picks the practice area they need, the kind of expertise, the city and their email address. Every submission is kept as an entry inside WordPress and a honeypot field screens bots. Notification email, a confirmation to the enquirer, a webhook, Mailchimp, reCAPTCHA v3 and Cloudflare Turnstile are settings on the same form, so switching one on is a checkbox in the editor.
Can I change the practice areas, the colours and the photos?
Yes, all of it, in the WordPress editor Canvas is built for. Practice areas are categories you rename, merge or extend; photos are ordinary media library images; colours and fonts are Theme Options; and every heading, outcome line and biography is a field on a block or a record. Nothing needs a page builder.
Only one demo is built for law firms. What if I want a different look?
Every Canvas plan includes all 80 demos in 16 categories, and a demo built for a neighbouring business is often the right start for a firm: the pages, the colours and the photographs are all editable, and the case records are a Canvas content type that any demo can use. Browse the whole catalogue before you decide.
How many websites does one licence cover?
A Canvas licence on Starter costs $39 a year and covers 3 websites; Pro covers 10 and Agency 100. Every plan includes every demo and every block; the plans differ by seats, AI credits and the Agency plan's multisite activation.
Put your firm online with Canvas
One licence covers every demo and every block. Import the law firm demo from the setup wizard, put your own attorneys and cases in, and publish.
