Every element page shows one or more Canvas blocks with their variations side by side. Find the element you want, insert the block named under it, and the variations are settings in its panel.

What every element carries with it

The advanced panel

Canvas adds the same advanced panel to every block type on the site, core blocks and other plugins' blocks included: an entrance and exit animation, custom CSS scoped to that block, custom attributes and display conditions by role or device. The Animations page is that panel at work.

Defaults and global styles

Set a button up the way your brand wants it and save those settings as the default, so the next one you insert starts there. A global style names a set of settings you apply across the site and change in one place later.

Free and premium, same plan

179 of the 258 Canvas blocks are free and 79 are premium. Every plan includes all of them, so an element on this page is never an upgrade away.

Why the menu says Shortcodes

The showcase keeps the menu names of Canvas HTML, the template these pages mirror, and Shortcodes is what that menu calls its element pages, so anyone who has built with the HTML template finds each page where they expect it. In Canvas for WordPress none of them is a shortcode. Each element is a registered block with its options in the sidebar, saved as standard block markup, and nothing asks you to remember a bracketed tag.
